Porter Yelton is a fiction writer who calls Chicago, Shanghai, and North Carolina home. He is a graduate of New York University and an MFA Candidate at The Ohio State University. He was a 2025 participant in the Sewanee Writers Workshop and the recipient of a Tara M. Kroger Award in fiction from the Ohio State MFA Program. He writes about fractured familial relationships, LGBTQ+ communities in the rural American South, and addiction. His fiction can be found in Driftwood, Apricity, and Porchlight.
